Sofie Vanoosthuyse — 30 years of jewellery art
Always evolving, always searching for the best marriage between refinement and strength, between raw and soft, character and restraint.

For 30 years, Sofie Vanoosthuyse has been designing jewellery in a style all her own. Trained at the St.Lucas school of arts in Antwerp, she went her own way, refining centuries-old smithing techniques into a new visual language of her own.
She regularly works with recycled gold and silver, which makes the designs both unique and sustainable. She often starts from the softly winding lines of art nouveau, just as easily passes by way of the robust modernity of art deco, and more than once ends with a hefty dose of rock ’n’ roll. Subtle and in-your-face at the same time. With hints of the past — yet thoroughly contemporary. Never slick. Always stunning.
“After many years in the Parijsstraat, I found a new home for my atelier-shop on, yes indeed… the Vismarkt, the old fish market (no. 6). I had felt the need for a long time, and then quite suddenly saw the chance, to take on more creative space.”
